 Parish News -

From the Vicar -

As part of our preparation of a parish "Ministry Action Plan", all parishioners who are at church on September 7th will be given a short "survey" to complete.  This will be done at the conclusion of each of our two Sunday morning services.  I hope that in next week's bulletin I will have some of the questions that will be asked in the survey, so that you can give some thought to them.

"EfM" stands for "Education For Ministry".  It is a comprehensive educational program involving the study of Christianity.   Participants learn from their own experience, from others, from the Scriptures, and from church history.  This parish has had an EfM group on and off for many years, and a number of our parishioners can testify as to how important it has been in their Christian life.   I would like to recruit more parishioners to commence EfM next year, and so there will be an "EfM Information Night", 7.30pm to 9pm, in the meeting room on  Wednesday, 24th September.  All are welcome.  No obligation.  No  requirement to "sign up".  Just come along and listen!

Bishop Barbara Darling will be welcomed to the Eastern Region on Wednesday, 3rd September, 7.30pm, at Holy Trinity Doncaster.  I can take three passengers.  Let me know if you'd like to come.

A seminar "Christ Empowered Living" will be held at Mitcham Baptist Church on Wednesday, 17th September, 9.30am to 4.30pm (incI. lunch).  See flier on narthex board.  A parishioner has donated the registration fee -- so if anyone would like to go to the seminar please let me know as soon as possible.

Attention all Living Creatures!   Your big day is almost here!  "The Blessing of the Animals", Sunday afternoon, 5th October, 4pm to 4.45pm.

Some of our acolytes' robes need attention: mending, and laundering. Would someone like to volunteer to take on this task?   Please let me know.
