Programs and support

MurielOur  purpose as a church family is to help people love God, serve others and grow together.  We have many events and programs to both help the community get to know us better, and serve them in times of need.

Grocery collection

We collect groceries each week and deliver to Anglicare Croydon.  Non-perishable items can be left in the large basket at the back of the church on Sunday mornings.

Community meals

We offer our facilities to host community meals throughout the week, and also for meetings to groups including Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.

Tuesday nights – 6 to 7.30pm

Each Tuesday St John’s makes our Fellowship Room available for The Dining Room. The TDR Mission is a community meal service for homeless people and struggling families. Guests can enjoy a substantial nutritious two-course meal every Tuesday evening.

Wednesday nights – 5.30 to 7.00pm

On Wednesday nights a meal is provided undercover at the front of the church by either New Community Ringwood Church or  UrbanLife.

Meals consist of soup, BBQ hamburgers with bread rolls and salad, followed by dessert (usually a selection of cakes). Tea and coffee is available through the night.
